It has been 3 weeks since my last weekly reflection so I have had a lot of time to get some great work done. I have: made videos, Designed an Apple TV mount for the school's classrooms walls, cleaned up websites for teachers, written an app review, worked on a class project called Digital literacy and finally I have been working on my ILE. (individual learning endeavor)
Firstly, for my ILE I made a video to show what I have completed so far and where I want to go in the future with the project. I made the video using Camtasia which I had previously made a review on. Camtasia made my video making experience very easy and I was able to make my overview video very easily with high quality. You can watch the video here.
Next I was assigned to design an Apple-TV mount for the school to use in some classrooms that have access to Apple-TV. When I was assigned with this amazing sounding project I was quite exited and jumped straight on to Google to look at some designs as an inspiration. When I felt I had enough ideas to work with I got my paper out and started designing what I thought would be a good looking yet functioning mount that the school would like to use. Once I had finished my drawings, I then picked which one would be best and which would be possible to make on a program called, Inventor. Inventor is a program that allows you to design and make 3D designs then print them on a 3D printer. I passed the job of printing the mount to a classmate called Skyler, click his name to take a look at his blog.
As well as all of this, I was assigned the job to clean up a teacher's website that was looking very crowded and was not very user friendly. The teacher's website had only one tab to navigate through at first, so what I decided to do was to make a separate page for each of the pieces of information that was once displayed on a single page before. The teacher that I cleaned the website for was an art teacher called, Ms. Moore. You can view her redesigned website here.
The next thing that I worked on was my App review. The app I decided to write about was a note taking application for your phone and computer and other devices. You can read the app review here and see for yourself why you should get the amazing free application.
Throughout the weeks I have been working on something called, Digital literacy, with a group of 3 other people to make a redesigned digital version of worksheets that will be used to teach a class in the future. The team worked very well and was able to complete the project on time and was not too tough for us. We had to make scenarios, power points and more lesson plans for the classes.
I have chosen a brand new ILE project to do. My next project will be to do with photography, I really like taking photos and I also like learning new methods and techniques to take better pictures and new styles of pictures. Because of this passion to learn more about cameras and pictures I have decided to take and make time lapse photographs with my camera and then edit them on a program that I have and that the school has. I will be making both, time lapse videos and also an edited version of them to make a single image. Below is a link/video that explains what I have started so far and what I want to complete in the future for the project.
