Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043 | On Wednesday 6th April 2016 the help desk class had the absolutely incredible opportunity to go to the Google campus at mountain view and get a class tour around the place and learned a little more about the company known world wide called Google. During our time at the Google campus we did some team work activities as a kind of ice breaking exercise, in this activity we were put into groups of 3-4 and were set the challenge of designing and presenting what the groups thought schools would look like in around 50 years time Google has definitely got a different work environment for their employees and the campus feels a lot like a college instead of the normal sort of office buildings that you would find if you visited other company's. I think it is safe to say that Google definitely take pride in keeping their employees calm and happy because that helps employees creativity and work capacity. When the class had the tour around we came across a lot of things that you would never find in another work place, like; Swimming pools, hammocks, ponds, bicycles for transport and so much more. |
